Cup of Tea’s 2022 Reading Challenge

It’s the first day of the year and that means the first day of a reading challenge! Try Cup of Tea’s Reading Challenge 2022 that will not only introduce you to new books and genres but help you tackle your TBR pile. Just like last year, I created the challenge on StoryGraph, where you can view the challenge prompts and add books that will help you complete the challenge!

  1. Read a biography of an author/person you admire.
  2. Read book set in a bookstore (historical or contemporary setting)
  3. A book by an author with a disability
  4. A book that was on your TBR pile for 5 years and more
  5. A book by an author who is of different race, ethnicity, religion than your own
  6. Read a Novella or A Short Story
  7. Listen to An Audiobook
  8. A retelling of a classic book
  9. A romance where the main characters are over 40
  10. A nonfiction graphic novel
  11. A classic mystery (i.e. British Crime Classics, Agatha Christie, etc.)
  12. A book recommended by a friend where you have different reading tastes
  13. A Collection of Ghost Stories
  14. A debut novel in 2022
  15. A book by your favorite author you were waiting to come out

  17. A book with more than 500 pages
  18. A lesser-known book by a popular author

  21. A book’s setting in the afterlife
  22. A book becoming a movie/tv series in 2022
  23. A poetry collection
  24. A book that is part of a series
  25. A book set on a plane, train or a cruise.
  26. A book that was translated in 2022
  27. An anthology containing diverse stories
  28. A nonfiction book about a topic you want to learn more about
  29. A book you can read in a day
  30. A Manga Published for The First Time in the US in 2022
  31. A book published by an author with a pseudonym name
  32. A novel in verse

I didn’t get to read as much classics I wanted to last year so the classics challenge prompts are the same ones in 2021. You can join the 2022 Classics Challenge also on StoryGraph:
