I wanted to share a recent story from a library in West Virginia about incident where a patron refused to abide by the library’s rules:
My hope and wish is that when library management are examining ways to reopen their libraries to the public, I hope they take time to listen to their staff’s concerns and realize that most staff members may face some anxiety and trepidation returning to work and should be acknowledged and not set aside.
I was born and raised in New York. I still live in New York but kind of sick of the city and one day I wish to move to the UK.I have a Masters degree in Library Science and I currently work in a special collections library.
I loved books ever since I was a little girl. Through the hard times in my life, my love for books has always gotten me through. Just entering another world different from my own intrigues me.
As long as I am entering in another universe, I like to create my own as well. I love to write and hopefully I will be able to complete a novel.

This is far from the only case of an anti-masker (that’s what I’ll call them) getting agitated. Some anti-maskers have turned violent in New York City too, particularly against public transit workers (you must wear a mask to enter public transit).
