Welcome to Friday Debate, a feature on cup of tea with that book, please, where every Friday a question will be posted that tantalize the brain and expands our horizons. For this week’s question: 

A couple of days ago, I published a post discussing the professional organizations, more specifically the ALA (American Library Association), and how their missions and good intentions may be the cause of members in their associations to either burnout or doubt their profession. I am not criticizing these professional organizations. I know that they can can do a lot of great work. But the focus on their important work might make their members feel that they are being sidelines.

So for this week’s Friday Debate, I am asking these two questions:
