2021 Women’s Prize for Fiction Shortlist

The shortlist for the 2021 Women’s Prize for Fiction was announced a few days ago.  This year’s shortlist is made up of authors who have never been nominated for the prize before , with authors such as Susanna Clarke, Yaa Gyasi and Patricia Lockwood. The annual award that looks for an “outstanding, ambitious, original” novel by a woman features several stories about “lives you haven’t read about before”, said chair of judges Bernardine Evaristo, the Booker prize-winning novelist.1

The winner will be announced on Wednesday, July 7, where the female novelist will receive a cash prize of £30,000 award.
