Great Audiobook Listens for the Summer

June is Audiobook Month! I love listening to audiobooks. You can listen to them while you are cooking, exercising, commuting…just with so many activities! Books to Read This Month: June Edition

Read with PRIDE in June! We finally made it halfway through 2021! Along with June being Pride Month, recognition of Juneteenth, Caribbean American Heritage Month, Audiobook Month and African-American Music Appreciation Month (did I get it all?), June is also the perfect time to start making your list of reads for your 2021 summer reading! 2021 Women’s Prize for Fiction Shortlist

The shortlist for the 2021 Women’s Prize for Fiction was announced a few days ago.  This year’s shortlist is made up of authors who have never been nominated for the prize before , with authors such as Susanna Clarke, Yaa Gyasi and Patricia Lockwood. The annual award that looks for an “outstanding, ambitious, original” novel by a woman features several stories about “lives you haven’t read about before”, said chair of judges Bernardine Evaristo, the Booker prize-winning novelist.1
