The longlist for the 2021 Women’s Prize for Fiction was announced a few weeks back.  This year’s longlist honors both new and well-established writers and a range of genres and themes, from family to rural poverty and isolation. The novels also range from different global settings, from South London to Deep South, from Ghana to Hong Kong,

2020 Goodreads Choice Awards Winners

It’s here! Announcing the winners of the 12th Annual Goodreads Choice Awards. According to Goodreads, 5,674,480 votes were cast.

2020 Shortlist for Waterstones Book of the Year

Waterstones, the UK Bookseller, released their yearly shortlist of this year’s best books of the year. The shortlist and award is selected by booksellers.

If you are not looking to add more books to add to your TBR shelf, then reading this shortlist is highly unadvisable, you ‘ll have a hard time tearing your eyes away from these interesting blurbs:

2020 Goodreads Choice Awards Nominees

It’s that time of year again! The voting round of the 2020 Goodreads Choice Awards has begun. This annual event, in its 12th year, is the only major book awards chosen by readers. The opening round ends on November 8. The semifinal round runs from November 10 – 15, the final round runs from November 17 – 30 and the winners are announced on December 8.

I won’t be listing all the nominees but here are some categories that may be of high interest to some readers. I’ll also mark the ones that will definitely get my vote!
