A little over two weeks ago, Focus Features dropped a teaser trailer of the latest adapatation of the Jane Austen classic, Emma:
I am indifferent with this latest adaptation. Not that I don’t think it is interesting. Just by the trailer it looks good. However, I just don’t think we need another Emma apadaptation, especially since there were previous ones, two which that were highly examplarly, 1996 ITV film and the 2009 BBC Miniseries. And let us not forget the hilarious and well thought out of the 1995 modern adapatation of the novel, Clueless. So it bears the question, do we really need another one?
