America’s Favorite Book Is…

To Kill A Mockinging Bird by Harper Lee has been voted as America #1 best-loved book.

To Kill a Mockingbird has been declared the winner of The Great American Read. This American classic kept the lead the entire five months of voting, despite the stiff competition it received from the other finalists: Outlander (Series) by Diana Galbadon, Harry Potter (Series) by J.K. Rowling, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. But with a book that has been translated into more than forty languages, sold more than 40 million copies worldwide and voted as one of the best-loved novels of the 20th century by librarians nationwide, it should not come as a surprise that after 58 years since its publication, America is still in love with this book.
