The Diverse Book Awards Looking For Judges

The Diverse Book Awards, a literary award created by the Author School, is looking for judges to help determine the best books of 2021 that help promote diverse voices that are published in the UK.

From the website:

Created by The Author School. We want to highlight the best of the diverse voices published in the UK during 2020, both traditionally and self-published. We believe there’s a need to showcase the talent of marginalised voices, so we came up with The DBAwards to open a space where the spotlight is on them. “

If you are interested in applying to be a judge please email hello@thediversebookawards.co.uk by Monday, November 30.

Here are the 2020 winners of the prize.

Best Children’s Book The Star Outside My Window by Onjali Q. Rauf

Best Young Adult Book Chinglish: An Almost Entirely True Story by Sue Cheung

Best Adult Book This Green and Pleasant Land by Ayisha Malik

I was born and raised in New York. I still live in New York but kind of sick of the city and one day I wish to move to the UK.I have a Masters degree in Library Science and I currently work in a special collections library. I loved books ever since I was a little girl. Through the hard times in my life, my love for books has always gotten me through. Just entering another world different from my own intrigues me. As long as I am entering in another universe, I like to create my own as well. I love to write and hopefully I will be able to complete a novel.
