2021 Goodreads Choice Awards Nominees

It’s that time of year again! The voting round of the 2021 Goodreads Choice Awards has begun. This annual event, in its 12th year, is the only major book awards chosen by readers.

This year marks a couple of changes for the annual award. This year there is no write-in option (which I am sad about since I really liked that option). There is now only two rounds of voting instead of three. The opening round ends this evening, November 28 and the final round runs from November 30- December 5. The winners are announced on December 9.

I won’t be listing all the nominees but here are some categories that may be of high interest to some readers. I’ll also mark the ones that will definitely get my vote!

Like last year, I have again come across amazing poetry collections and verse novels that have impacted me. So for today, let us enjoy, discover and share the newly released poetry collections of 2021 that will make you a lover of the genre and appreciate it even more:

Great Audiobook Listens for the Summer

June is Audiobook Month! I love listening to audiobooks. You can listen to them while you are cooking, exercising, commuting…just with so many activities! When I hit a wall in my reading, audiobooks are a great way to get back into it. The narrators do amazing job telling these stories that you as the “listener” feel just as compelling and engaging if you were reading it in print. Whether you are looking for your first audiobook to listen to or great recommendations to get your summer off on the right start, here some audio listens that show why audiobooks are truly awesome:
