Reading nonfiction books about real events is a great way to know about what is happening (and has happened) in the world but did you know that you receive that same reflection from reading fiction novels?
Lately, authors have been inspired by current events and write stories that will be more realistic to their readers. They don’t only convey authenticity but the real emotional impact these current events have, which makes them more entertaining reads. So if your looking for more realism in your TBR shelf, you can go wrong with these book recommendations:
Today is St. Patrick’s Day and unfortunately, not a lot of people will be able to partake in any festivities this year. But that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate the great things that this rich and vibrant country has to offer in the comfort of your own home. And reading is the best way to do it!
Over the 200 books I have read in 2019 (I’m still shocked that I read that much), I came across amazing authors where their writing styles and compelling storytelling had me engrossed and wishing that the book never end. When you meet an author that gives you that feeling, they have just become your new favorite author! It might be too soon for some since I only read one book, but I am going to take a leap of faith and keep a lookout for the following authors in 2020:
