Calling All Educators!
A great way to introduce Jane Austen to a younger generation!
The JASNA-NYM (The Jane Austen Society- New York Metropolitan Region) is pleased to open the call for submissions of the Jane Austen Book Box Program again for the New York Metropolitan Region.
The Jane Austen Book Box is a new grant program designed to encourage the love of literature and Jane Austen and help get the next generation as enraptured with the written word as we are! Local educators of all kinds who want to teach a unit about Austen are invited to submit their proposals. If selected, we’ll pay for the books, including a copy for each student to take home and keep in their personal library.
Educators and facilitators in schools, libraries, after-school programs, and other youth-focused community groups in the New York City metropolitan area — including Long Island, Westchester, and northern New Jersey.
