A movie trailer about the literary author, Mary Shelley, author of the novel Frankenstein, has just been released. The movie stars Elle Fanning as Mary Shelley and Douglas Booth as Percy Bysshe Shelley.

The movie follows Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin falling in love and swept off her feet by Percy Shelley, a married man. The movie focuses on their tumultuous relationship and the passion and inspiration that led her to write her greatest novel, Frankenstein. The movie also stars Maisie Williams and Joanne Floggatt.

This movie coincides with 2018 being the 200th anniversary of Frankenstein‘s publication.

The movie is scheduled to be released on May 25 in the United States and July 6 in the United Kingdom.
