I wanted to share a recent story from a library in West Virginia about incident where a patron refused to abide by the library’s rules:

My hope and wish is that when library management are examining ways to reopen their libraries to the public, I hope they take time to listen to their staff’s concerns and realize that most staff members may face some anxiety and trepidation returning to work and should be acknowledged and not set aside.

    This is far from the only case of an anti-masker (that’s what I’ll call them) getting agitated. Some anti-maskers have turned violent in New York City too, particularly against public transit workers (you must wear a mask to enter public transit).
