Miss Marple senses danger when she visits a friend living in Stoneygates, a rehabilitation center for delinquents. Her fears are confirmed when someone shoots at the administrator. Although he is not injured, a mysterious visitor is less fortunately shot dead simultaneously in another part of the building.
Pure coincidence? Miss Marple thinks not, and must use all her cunning to solve the riddle of the stranger’s visit … and his murder.
The queen of red herrings is back at it again! My year of reading Agatha Christie continues with this tantalizing mystery, They Do It With Mirrors, a Miss Marple Mystery.
Not my favorite Christie mystery but still very enjoyable one. The culprit was an easy one to figure out and the predictability of it did put a damper on the story. However, in typical Christie fashion, the twists and turns sucker punch you. You accept one thing and then your entire perspective on the mystery.
Like I said, not a great one but for any Christie fans out there, it is still an interesting read. Get caught in the illusion and read another Christie novel!
