Top Ten Tuesday: Book Adaptations I Can’t Wait For

Top Ten Tuesdays

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish. Today’s post is:

Top Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I’m Looking Forward To or Ten Book To Movie Adaptations I Still Need To Watch”

Even though I sometimes I have animosity towards book adaptations, there are some out there (and I do mean some) that I can’t wait to see how it is put on the big screen :).

This is one is definitely on the top of my list. It’s coming out next year and I want to see how this plays out!

The Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness

A date for this hasn’t been announced for this one but the rights for this one blog has been purchased. This book is so magical and detailed that it really needs to be on the big screen.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen/Seth Grahame-Smith

I refused to read the book and I still have hesitations about this movie but the trailer looks interesting so there is a possibility I might see it.

Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series by Ransom Riggs

I haven’t read it yet but I heard good things so I would to get to read it before the movie comes out.

A Great and Terrible Beauty series by Libba Bray

Again the film rights were bought so a film adaptation for this is long overdue.

I just finished this so any news on a film adaptation based on this book would be really great.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

The Heist Society Series by Ally Carter

Lady Susan by Jane Austen

I am always excited for any movie based on Jane Austen’s novels and the film Love and Friendship  is no exception. I loved Lady Susan so it would be exciting to see how this plays out.

Something Blue by Emily Giffin

Maybe this sequel will be a whole lot better than the first film.

What adaptations are your excited for?

I was born and raised in New York. I still live in New York but kind of sick of the city and one day I wish to move to the UK.I have a Masters degree in Library Science and I currently work in a special collections library. I loved books ever since I was a little girl. Through the hard times in my life, my love for books has always gotten me through. Just entering another world different from my own intrigues me. As long as I am entering in another universe, I like to create my own as well. I love to write and hopefully I will be able to complete a novel.

  1. Great list! I don’t think I knew The Discovery of Witches was being made into a movie, that’s really cool. I’d love to see that play out on screen for sure. – ashley
